A lovely couple, dating just a few months
Yes, 32.
As in 32 years.
As in 32 years of marriage.
Wedded bliss, happily ever after and all that goes along with that.
It all began in January of 1976, on our very first date. We were both juniors in two different high schools, attending two different Evangelical Free Churches. After graduation, in 1977, we headed off to two different colleges. In 1979, I moved even further away from Ann (Trinity College, Deerfield, IL and Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt. Pleasant, IA). Even the summer we got married, I moved home and Ann moved to Highland Park, IL to begin her nursing career. We just couldn’t seem to be together for very long at all.
Well, that lasted only five and a half years. Now you can’t keep us apart. 32 years later, from this very day, I pledged my troth to her and she to me. What God has joined together, let no man divide asunder.
